Charlotte von der Lancken was born in Stockholm 1978. She graduated as MA Industrial designer from University Collage of Arts Crafts and Design (Konstfack) in 2004. 
Charlotte von der Lancken was previously founder and running partner of Front Design, and now she is running her own designstudio in Stockholm.
With Front she established herself with a collection designed in collaboration with animals (2003) and a solo exhibition at Droog Design Gallery in Amsterdam. Their Project "Sketch Furniture" (2005) was produced by FriedmanBenda Gallery in New York and since 2018, the Sketch Chair was included in the Vitra Miniatures Collection.
2007 Front released the bespoked Horse Lamp for Moooi alongside with Pig Table, rabbit lamp and Blow away Vase, transformed by a digital gust of wind. Other brands partnering with Front was Materia, Offecct, IKEA, Moroso and  Established & Sons. The Magic Collection was shown at Rossana Orlandi Galley in Milan and produced in a limited edition for Galerie Kreo in Paris.
In 2010, Front received the prestigious Torsten & Wanja Söderbergs Award, and the same year also "A&W Designer of the Year".
2013 Front released their shower Collection for Axor Hansgrohe and recieved Red Dot Award "Best of the Best". Front created the entrances to Kristinebergsparken in Stockholm. The Project "Park lights" was later developed into a Family of light together with Tom Dixon, called "Melt". 
2015 Charlotte von der Lancken established her own studio in Stockholm. She works in a broad field of industrial design and art.
Her work has been included in the Collections of MoMA New York and San Fransisco, M+ Hong Kong, Nationalmuseum, Röhsska Museet, Victoria & Albert and MUDAC. Charlotte has currently an office in Stockholm and she is working on a wide range of Projects.
