Bio
Charlotte von der Lancken is an industrial designer with a Master’s degree from Konstfack in Stockholm. Her career is marked by a pioneering role in the FRONT design group, where she worked from 2004 to 2015, contributing to innovative and impactful design projects. 2020 – 2021, she served as a Material Scout at RISE Bioeconomy, focusing on bio-material applications.
Currently, Charlotte works on product design and development with a deep emphasis on innovative materials and sustainable design practices. Her approach to design is holistic, integrating multiple factors such as material selection, manufacturing processes, chemical content, and end-of-life considerations. This methodology reflects a commitment to creating products that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally responsible and sustainable.
Over the years, Charlotte has received numerous prestigious awards, including Torsten & Wanja Söderbergs Pris, A&W Magazine Designer of the Year, Elle Deco International Design Award, Wallpaper Magazine Design Awards, Guldstolen, and Residence Magazine Designer of the Year. Her work is represented in prominent collections at institutions such as MoMA, M+, the National Museum, Röhsska Museum, Vitra Design Museum, and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
